Suites in both lodges feature a spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom, separate lounge with tea & coffee making facilities, minibar, cosy fireplace and satellite TV / DVD player for in-room entertainment. The spacious suites open out onto a private outside deck overlooking Walker Bay. Natural textures and colours bring the harmony of nature into your suite and spacious, finely appointed bathrooms complete the feeling of complete luxury.

One Bedroom Classic (55-6o Square metre with shower only) & Luxury Suites (75-85 Square metre) are set amongst an Eden of beautifully landscaped fynbos gardens and indigenous trees, whilst the 2 Bedroom Suite epitomise luxurious home-from-home comforts with spacious suites featuring two private en-suite bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one with shower and one with bath).

An expansive itinerary of guided excursions are available, by foot, horse and 4WD vehicle amongst the surrounding indigenous ‘fynbos’, ancient Milkwood Forest and breathtaking local coastline. The best land based whale-watching in the world can be enjoyed from the lodge itself (complete with telescopes in the bar!) or take a boat trip for closer sightings. Boat trips can also be taken to Dyer Island to see Cape Fur seals and African penguins. Please note additional charges apply for boat trips.

An extensive ecological interpretation centre has displays and information on local plant and animal species.

There is a sparkling pool with natural rock features and waterfall with stunning views.

A spa for massages and beauty treatments is available at an additional charge.

Guests delight in an excellent 5-course dinner specialising in seafood and local produce and served in the circular restaurant with central fireplace and stunning views over the bay. Extensive buffets for breakfast and a Mediterranean-style lunch can also be served out on the terrace.

The bar area comes complete with telescopes for whale-spotting or bird-watching.

family

Children under 12 are welcome at Garden Lodge with lots on offer to keep them entertained! Visitors are welcome at the on-site stables and animal farm, complete with 18 horses and ponies, 2 rabbits, cats, chickens and often a lamb or two! Children can also help with the daily activities such as grooming and feeding.

Pony rides are available in the paddock. Accompanied nature walks, include bird identification and bug collecting can also be enjoyed. During the School Holidays, dependent on numbers, a supervised children’s programme will operate with activities including sand castle building on the beach, for all those old enough to participate.

There is a children’s toy cupboard available to supplement your own supplies.

Special children's menus are available as well as refreshments and snacks during activities. Please note that children under 6 years may not have diner in the restaurant.

One-Bedroom Classic/ Luxury Suites can accommodate up to 2 children under 10 on a sofa bed (or 1 child over 10) in the sitting room and a baby in a cot. Two-bedroom Suites with 2 en-suite bathrooms and large sitting room can accommodate up to two children in their own room with extra children accommodated on request.

In-house staff provides baby-sitting services if you fancy enjoying the superb setting in grown-up company only!
