There are 51 classic or contemporary loft style rooms and 25 suites, including one presidential suite. All rooms have satellite TV, telephone, electronic safe, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning.
There are 33 'Classic at the Mansions' colonial style en-suite rooms (non sea-facing) and 12 Junior Suites (some sea-facing) with large bedrooms and a separate lounge area.
The two Arcadia Suites benefit from a lounge and balcony, and are also available as an inter-leading room with an optional second bedroom (non sea-facing). The Harvey Suite consists of two en-suite double bedrooms with a lounge/kitchenette (sea-facing).
The more contemporary styled rooms, named 'Top of the Mansions' are the 15 Classic rooms (non sea-facing), 5 Junior Suites (sea or non sea-facing), 2 Balcony Suites with open plan bedroom and lounge area with balcony (sea-facing), and lastly, 1 Robben Island Suite with large lounge area also available as an inter-leading room with an optional second bedroom (sea-facing).

The generous outdoor heated pool is more than big enough for the amateur swimmer or splashing about with the kids. Budding professionals can swim at the Olympic-sized open air public pool, next to the promenade and just a ten minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is loved by families for the wonderful welcome it gives to children of all ages. With welcome gifts, a babysitting service, children's menu (room service & restaurant) and towelling robes the hotel has really thought of everything.
Children under 6 years stay free of charge with those over 6 paying a small supplement if sharing with their parents. The Classic rooms can accommodate a cot but not an extra bed, so families with toddlers and older children should opt for one of the suites which can be equipped with a sofa bed for up to 2 children under 12. For ultimate space and comfort, the colonial style Family Suites have two bedrooms and one bathroom, plus a separate lounge.

Often chosen for its central location, the hotel is only 10 minutes from the V&A Waterfront (with complimentary shuttle service provided) and Cape Town city centre. Table Mountain is a just 15 minutes away and the famous 'blue flag' Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are a mere 10 minutes drive. Cape Town International is approx. 30 minutes away making transfers stree-free, especially as the hop on/off buses have a stop just outside the hotel.
