Arrive at the V&A Hotel and you feel immersed in colonial Cape Town, and yet bedrooms are as contemporary as they are elegant. Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted into a luxury hotel in 1990, the V&A Hotel is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870 when Prince Alfred officially opened the Breakwater Basin – aka the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Guest rooms offer spectacular Views of the working harbour, Table Mountain or the lively Piazza.
