Radisson Blu Waterfront
  • rooms

Recently renovated, all the elegant rooms are bright and airy with a nautical feel and fresh Scandinavian colours. Standard Rooms have lovely views of the mountains through their wall-to-ceiling windows or the Superior Rooms offer a little more space and a choice of harbour or mountain views.

For a family, or for those staying slightly longer, the 2 bedroom suites are a great option. En-suite bathrooms, spacious living areas and a fully-equipped kitchenette make for an easy and luxurious home-from-home. Pour a cold glass of wine, sit back and enjoy the spectacular views from your own private balcony.

  • facilities & activities

There are all the superb amenities you'd expect from a 5* Radisson Blu. Relax in the fabulous heated rim-flow pool, overlooking the ocean and conveniently close to the trendy, open-air, cocktail bar. Or indulge with a treatment in the opulent Amani Spa with its oxygenating pool.

The hotel is ideally located for exploring this vibrant city and its fascinating surrounds; spend an afternoon at the lovely Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, marvel at the view from the top of Table Mountain or take a scenic hike. The 24 hour concierge is friendly and informative – always on hand to help with car hire and bookings.

  • dining

The in-house restaurant, Tobago’s, is well worth sampling, even with the award-winning restaurants of the city just outside. Dine al fresco and enjoy an innovative and fresh menu, washed down with delectable, local wines. The breakfasts are a buffet feast, and you can even mix your own Bloody Mary if the occasion calls (but we didn’t tell you that).

  • family

For all the five star luxury, the hotel is very family friendly. The central location is perfect for day trips out and about and the Two Seas Aquarium is just across the way, with its enormous shark-filled tanks.

Everyone can fuel up at the extensive breakfast buffet as there are plenty of options, along with a 'grab and go’ facility if you’re in a hurry, and there are smaller, lighter options at the restaurant for later in the day.

There are plenty of room choices to suit families and up to two children under 12 stay free if sharing. Extra rollaway beds or cots are also available for a small surcharge. Alternatively, there are lovely 2 bedroom suites with separate living areas if you'd prefer a little more space. Babysitting and child care is also on tap for those parents who'd like to take some time out – perhaps to sample the local nightlife.

  • location

The international airport is just 20 minutes by car and transfers can be organised for you. The hotel occupies a prime position, along the curve of Granger Bay - just a five minute walk to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The hotel also offers a complimentary hourly shuttle bus if you prefer. The Mouille Point and Sea Point Promenade lie on the other side, stretching out alongside the ocean and providing a wonderful scenic walking or running route. The centre of Cape Town itself is only 10 minutes away by car.
