Whilst you risk frost-bite in deep winter, the Spring and Summer months are a fantastic time to visit. The scenery is at its most spectacular, wildlife emerges, flowers bloom and life is lived outside, with festivals and events galore, including (in no particular order) the Toronto Film Festival, the firework-fuelled Celebration of Light in British Colombia and by no means least, the renowned Calgary Stampede complete with cowboys, a rodeo, country music. Yee-haw!

Our summer is the best time to visit the renowned Yala NP - perfect for combining with a beach stay on the east coast. Time your visit to coincide with the fascinating Buddhist Perahera festival in Kandy which takes place in August annually. In the cultural heart of the country, with parades of dancers, fire-breathers and lavishly decorated elephants, it is a sight to behold. Rates from £2,150 per person for 10 nights including a 2 night safari and relaxing stay at Uga Bay on the east, including flights and driver/guide throughout.
