Spend your time unwinding beside the beachfront pool, wandering along the powder-soft white sands, or swimming in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Complimentary masks and snorkels are available, along with access to kayaks from the hotel, making it easy to enjoy the sea at your own pace.
For those looking to explore, the team can arrange a variety of experiences including scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, kite surfing, traditional dhow cruises, and coastal excursions for an additional cost. Back at the hotel, the cosy lounge and beachfront areas provide the perfect setting to relax with a drink while taking in the ocean views.

Dining
Dining at Waterlovers Beach Resort is a genuine highlight, blending strong Italian influences with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the Kenyan coast.
Breakfast is served daily at the resort’s Tides Restaurant and is included in the nightly rate.
Lunch and dinner are also enjoyed here, with menus featuring freshly caught seafood, homemade pasta, colourful salads, and indulgent desserts, all served in a relaxed beachfront setting. Whether you prefer a sociable meal or a quiet dinner for two, the laid-back atmosphere makes every dining experience feel effortlessly special.
Please note that from 2027 onwards, the resort will offer accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis only.
Rooms
Rooms at Waterlovers are individually styled and full of character, combining coastal charm with comfort and thoughtful design.
Choose from one of the 8 double Suites which can sleep up to 3 adults, the 4 bedroom Penthouse, or the rustic Birds Villa which can sleep up to 8, all featuring spacious layouts, air conditioning, and private terraces or balconies. Light, airy interiors and handcrafted details create a soothing retreat just steps from the sea.

Family
Families are very welcome although this hotel would suit couples or families with teens better who may enjoy access to the facilities on Diani. Please note there is no dedicated kids club or kids pool
For extended families, the Birds villa is a great choice for those wanting extra space and privacy as it is set back from the beach and made up of 4 double rooms, two on the lower level and two on the open mezzanine.
The Penthouse Villa also has 4 double bedrooms too and is situated above the restaurant with ocean views.
Activities can be tailored to suit all ages, making it a relaxed and enjoyable stay for everyone.

Waterlovers Beach Resort is located on Diani Beach along Kenya’s south coast, easily accessible from Ukunda airstrip, which is just a short 15 min drive away. Mombasa is just 35km away.
