The hotel is loved by families for the wonderful welcome it gives to children of all ages. With welcome gifts, a babysitting service, children’s menu (room service & restaurant) and towelling robes the hotel has really thought of everything.

Children under 6 years stay free of charge with those over 6 paying a small supplement if sharing with their parents. The Classic rooms can accommodate a cot but not an extra bed, so families with toddlers and older children should opt for one of the suites which can be equipped with a sofa bed for up to 2 children under 12. For ultimate space and comfort, the colonial style Family Suites have two bedrooms and one bathroom, plus a separate lounge.

The Winchester Boutique Hotel currently has the following in place:

  • Heat pumps reduces power usage. No geysers in use and we have holding tanks for hot water
  • Double glazed sea facing windows for heat retention in rooms
  • Longer day linen cycles to reduce water usage

Table Mountain is a just 15 minutes away and the famous ‘blue flag’ Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are a mere 10 minutes drive. Cape Town International is approx. 30 minutes away making transfers stress free, especially as the hop on/off buses have a stop just outside the hotel.
