The Clarendon Fresnaye
Perched on the slopes of Lion’s Head in Cape Town’s coveted Fresnaye neighbourhood, Clarendon Fresnaye feels like stepping into a serene private world. The property combines a rich sense of history — once the residence of the Earl of Clarendon — with the comforts of a modern boutique hotel.
Wander through its lush gardens, sip your morning coffee on a sun-drenched terrace, and let your eyes drift across the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Minutes from Clifton’s sparkling beaches and the vibrant Sea Point promenade, it offers the perfect balance between peaceful retreat and easy access to Cape Town’s best sights.

Dining
Your taste buds are in for a treat from sunrise to sunset. Each morning, the hotel serves a hearty breakfast buffet with fresh local produce, pastries, eggs cooked to order and all your favourite wake-up flavours to fuel Cape Town adventures.
While the hotel itself doesn’t operate a full-time à la carte restaurant for lunch and dinner, the friendly team is always happy to point you toward excellent local options — and one standout choice just down the road is Zest Restaurant in Fresnaye. Zest blends contemporary cuisine with Mediterranean flair, offering delicious salads, pastas, seafood and more in a relaxed, stylish setting that’s perfect for families, couples or groups looking to dine out.
Whether you’re returning from a day on the mountain or heading out for an evening meal, Clarendon’s location puts superb dining right on your doorstep.
