Dining

You will be enticed into the various dining rooms from local Asian, Indian curry buffet and classical English fare. No trip to Singapore would be complete without sipping a famous Singapore Sling in the Long Bar, the home of its creation. Enjoy an exquisite afternoon tea in the Tiffin Room or a divine Champagne Brunch in the Bar and Billiard Room.

Rooms

Every room is a suite, with beautifully large spaces and gloriously high ceilings and all with a tranquil view of the tropical gardens from a common veranda. If you are hoping for a taste of colonial-era ambience, the white washed walls and dark teak wood furnishing will ensure this is met. The wonderfully spacious marble tiled bathrooms feature a separate bathtub and walk-in shower, designer toiletries and luxurious robes and the legendary Butlers are always on hand to fulfil your requests.

State-room Suites are in the historic Bras Basah Wing, built in 1904 with separate bedrooms and offices designed for the corporate traveller whilst Palm Court Suites border one side of the hotel’s main building alongside the hotels lush and exclusive gardens and feature parlour and dining area.  Likewise the Personality Suites – named after famous guests from the hotels rich past including Rudyard Kipling, Charlie Chaplin and Ava Gardner – offer the same, as do the Courtyard Suites.

The Presidential Suites are the most exquisite of the hotel, located in the main building with outlook over the grand driveway. They have a parlour, dining room, 2 bedrooms, dressing area, en-suite bathroom with separate walk-in shower and bathtub, a pantry with Nespresso machine and a private veranda.  The Grand Hotel suites, with a romance and travel theme, also offer similar space with balcony.

Family

Children can also enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool after a day of sight-seeing, although do note the depth is 1.5 meters and there is no shallow end. They may also use the Jacuzzi pool.

The hotel’s flexible approach to dining allows for effortless family meals and a welcome extensive choice for children. Younger guests may order individual a la carte items or order from the Children’s menu from the In-Room Dining service to be delivered to any of the restaurants in the hotel.

The one bedroom suites have a maximum occupancy of either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children below the age of 12. For guests who have more than 2 adults in the suite, the hotel will provide 2 Queen sized beds. Cribs are available in the suites for children below the age of 3 and a babysitting service is available on request.

Sustainability

Raffles plans to fully implement the Planet 21 program designed by Accor Hotels. This aims to improve waste management, energy & water conservation and help better the lives of the local community through group schemes and partnerships.

Location

Situated in the heart of the business and civic district surrounded by colonial gems and modern architecture, the hotel is a 20 – 30 minute taxi ride from Changi Airport, a 5-minute walk to City Hall MRT, 10 minutes by train to the famous shopping belt of Orchard Road and within walking distance to an array of restaurants, shops, landmarks and sight-seeing opportunities.
