Dining

The in-house restaurant, Tobago’s, is well worth sampling, even with the award-winning restaurants of the city just outside. Dine al fresco and enjoy an innovative and fresh menu with vegetarian and vegan options, washed down with delectable, local wines. The breakfasts are a buffet feast, and you can even mix your own Bloody Mary if the occasion calls (but we didn’t tell you that).

Rooms

All the elegant rooms are bright and airy with a nautical feel and fresh Scandinavian colours.

Standard Rooms have lovely views of the mountains through their wall-to-ceiling windows or the Superior Rooms offer a little more space.

For a family, or for those staying slightly longer, the Two Bedroom Suites or the Family Rooms with Terraces are great options.

If you love the sea, the Junior Suite is perfect for sitting back with a cold glass of wine and enjoying the spectacular views from your own private balcony.  An en-suite bathroom, spacious living areas and a fully-equipped kitchenette make for an easy and luxurious home-from-home.

Family

For all the five star luxury, the hotel is very family friendly. The central location is perfect for day trips out and about and the Two Oceans Aquarium is just across the way, with its enormous shark-filled tanks.

Everyone can fuel up at the extensive breakfast buffet as there are plenty of options, along with a ‘grab and go’ facility if you’re in a hurry, and there are smaller, lighter options at the restaurant for later in the day.

There are plenty of room choices to suit families and up to two children under 12 stay free if sharing with adults. Extra rollaway beds are available in some rooms for a small surcharge, and cots are complimentary. Alternatively, there are lovely two bedroom suites with separate living areas if you’d prefer a little more space.

Babysitting and child care is also on tap for those parents who’d like to take some time out – perhaps to sample the local nightlife.

Sustainability

Radisson Hotel Group automatically offsets the carbon footprint of every single meeting and event taking place at any of their hotels worldwide, at no cost to clients. The Radisson ensures water use is equitable in the communities where it does business, by limiting the use of water through technology improvements in its rooms and operations, and using rainwater and grey water wherever possible.

Radisson Hotel Group has committed to sponsoring one child for each of their 1,100 hotels, ensuring that child will have what they need and an education to secure a promising future. Since the launch of their global partnership in 2018, their hotels have already sponsored 686 SOS children and counting. When a problem arises in the community, their local teams provide and serve meals and water, collect and donate clothing, furniture and other items.

Location

The international airport is just 20 minutes by car and transfers can be organised for you. The hotel occupies a prime position, along the curve of Granger Bay – just a five minute walk to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, or you can use the hotel’s complimentary hourly shuttle bus to get there if you prefer. The Mouille Point and Sea Point Promenade lie on the other side, stretching out alongside the ocean and providing a wonderful scenic walking or running route. The centre of Cape Town itself is only 10 minutes away by car.
