Dining

Nobu needs no introduction with its world famous, classical Japanese cuisine with a contemporary twist. Head up the striking sweeping staircase and relish fresh seafood infused with indigenous spices.

Ochre offers a contemporary interpretation of age-old South African recipes, bringing together a kaleidoscope of heritages to create uniquely re-imagined dishes and flavours. Open to locals as well as hotel guests, diners can choose from a menu comprising 6 starters and mains and 3 desserts, interspersed with surprise tastes and treats. In addition, there are show-stopper house specialties which are designed for sharing. Under-stated, stylish local inclusions thread through all aspects of the décor and experience. The ambience and service-style is welcoming, familial and holds an unstuffy elegance.

During the day head to the chic poolside restaurant, Isola. Light Mediterranean and African dishes are served up amongst the waterways on the resort’s private island.

Enjoy a sundowner or an exquisite afternoon tea with the expansive back drop of Table Mountain through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at Vista Bar, or mingle with guests and locals alike and listen to the vibrant live music in the evenings. And all that before you sample the 5,000 different types of wine found in the dazzling glass and steel Wine Loft next door (don’t say we didn’t warn you).

The Premier Marina Table Mountain rooms are up on the fourth and fifth floors, ensuring spectacular views from the large private balconies and a King or two Queen option.

The other room choices are found on the resort’s private landscaped islands. The Island Superior Rooms surround the pool and have either a King sized or two Queen beds, en-suite bathrooms and can be connected together for a family stay. The two bedroomed version offers both King and Queen sized beds, delightful walk in closets and en-suite bathrooms. They also offer lounges with cosy fireplaces and dining areas that open onto large terraces overlooking the waterways. The fully equipped kitchen is very user friendly and there is also the option of a private chef (additional charge).

And for a really special stay then there’s the choice of the Table Mountain Suite or the Presidential Suite. The Table Mountain Suite offers a private foyer, games room, executive office, 24 hour butler and huge terrace with extraordinary views. The beautiful open plan dining area and lounge are the perfect space for entertaining too.

The Presidential Suite is filled with every imaginable luxury. Open air terraces overlook both the Marina and Table Mountain and original works of art adorn the walls. Although it is one bedroomed (expansive though this is), it can be combined with another suite for more spacious accommodation. The dining area can comfortably seat 12 and leads out onto the huge balcony and a private foyer, entertainment room and 24 hour private Butler service completes the decadence. We think a glass of bubbles might be obligatory?

One&Only Cape Town has appointed a ‘Green Committee’ whose purpose it is to drive environmental awareness and change initiatives at the resort.
