Facilities & Activities
Olive Grove caters for every need of the discerning traveller, but the emphasis here is definitely on rest and relaxation. The cosy sitting room is a great spot to enjoy a drink from the bar, with its chunky sofas and inviting fireplace, or there is a beautiful and tranquil garden with a small swimming pool and terrace where you can recline on one of the many loungers. Complementing the soothing atmosphere of the guest house is a Wellness Room offering a range of treatments including hot stone massages and reflexology that will help you unwind after a long flight or perhaps provide the perfect end to an action-packed holiday.
The city centre is just a 10-minute stroll away, where you will find great attractions like the Lutheran Christus Kirche, National Art Gallery, and the National Botanical Gardens. Windhoek is an eclectic and fascinating city with its colourful German heritage and rich cultural mix. If you’re looking for ethnic presents, there are great crafts and curios from stalls lining Post Street Mall and at the Namibian Craft Centre.
Should you need to catch up on emails, there is a laptop available for guests to use and WIFI is available in most parts of the guest house

Dining
The food at Olive Grove is of a very high standard; dining is an important aspect of the guest house and is taken very seriously by the fantastic cooks that can be seen preparing delicious meals for you in the unique open-plan kitchen.
Breakfast is a lavish affair and includes a buffet of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, muffins and homemade breads as well as an immense choice of hot food. Light snacks can be ordered throughout the day, and for dinner there is a wonderful Namibian a la carte menu offering freshly prepared and simple but delicious food, which is complemented by the most excellent South African wine.
Meals can be taken al fresco, by candlelight under the starry Namibian sky, and there is an intimate upper dining area where you can enjoy your meal in relative privacy.
If you fancy eating out, there are lots of great restaurants in Windhoek; the staff will be more than happy to offer advice and recommendations
Rooms
Olive Grove is a discrete retreat with just 11 charming rooms that all come with the added luxury of a private terrace. There are 5 Standard en-suite, 5 Luxury en-suite and 1 Executive Suite and all feature satellite television, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe, mini bar and coffee/tea making facilities. The Standard rooms feature the same interior, furnishings & fittings as the Luxury rooms, but are situated closer to the main reception & restaurant area making them less private than the other rooms. The Executive suite is a spacious room with its own private lounge and dining area, a DVD player and luxurious bathroom. Beds are queen size or twins according to your requirements, and the standard or luxury doubles can be transformed into triple rooms for larger groups.
The suites are simply but elegantly furnished and prominent use of natural stone cement gives them an earthy, natural feel and warm atmosphere. Features such as the beautiful handmade tiles and Moroccan-style lights enhance the chic style of the accommodation, whilst the opulent bathrooms with their earthen-style baths are simply stunning. Full facilities are on offer including air conditioning and satellite TV alongside mini bar and coffee / tea making facilities.

Family
Children of all ages are welcome at Olive Grove. There are cots, extra beds and highchairs available, and babysitting can also be arranged. The Executive Suite is ideal for families of up to 4 people and has its own private lounge, dining area and separate bathroom.
The chef is happy to discuss any meal requirements with you when you arrive, but there are also plenty of great options for dining in Windhoek, including a fantastic family friendly restaurant called Joe’s Beerhouse that is very close by.

Olive Grove is close to Windhoek city centre in the peaceful Klein Windhoek suburb. Windhoek is Namibia’s capital city and is located in the Khomas Region in the centre of the country.
Windhoek (Hosea Jutako) International Airport is just under an hours drive away and there is a domestic airport, Eros, closer to the guest house where most domestic flights arrive and depart. Secure on-site parking is also available.
