Dining
As a Relais & Chateaux property, you can expect outstanding local and international cuisine, served in breath-taking settings with top service.
La Terraza Del Arenal is the family restaurant, located in a lovely airy pavilion and offering an a la carte local and International menu. It successfully combines a relaxing informal setting with a sense of sophistication and of course, impeccable service from the attentive and friendly staff. You might want to eat at one of the outside tables which have a wonderful view of the volcano and the beautiful tropical gardens.
As the name suggests, the contemporary Asia Luna is all about Latin fusion – with a mix of Asian and Peruvian flavours, open for dinner. The décor resembles a ‘Pulperia,’ a typical Costa Rican bar. The chairs and tables are hand painted by members of the indigenous Maleku tribe, and they depict local flora and fauna.
For poolside snacks and cocktails there is the Kali Kali Pool Bar and during the evening, you might like to retire to the Nostalgia Bar with its extensive wine list. Nostalgia’s inviting décor, featuring leather and wood, creates a warm and intimate ambiance. Enjoy tapas and drinks while sitting at the bar or the open-air terrace. Nostalgia also offers Wine Pairing Dinners: an extravaganza of 5-courses perfectly matched with 5 different glasses of wine.
The hotel also offers a range of adult-only tastings and experiences from romantic private dining to mixology and coffee roasting classes.

Sustainability
Nayara prides itself on being environmentally and socially responsible in everything they do. To preserve and protect their piece of rainforest they opened a sanctuary to provide a safe habitat for sloths and other jungle wildlife. They have planted thousands of trees and native species in the tropical gardens to support the wildlife and are also helping with Arenal National Park’s reforestation efforts.
From a local community perspective Nayara employs a local team, offering staff free transportation, sustainable tourism education, and health services. Other local initiatives include free early education for employees’ children, volunteer time, and financial support to a local orphanage. Nayara are now working hard to become single-use plastic free and have replaced plastic water bottles with reusable glass bottles in the villas and eliminated plastic straws.
