Jaci’s Tree Lodge
On the Eastern borders of Madikwe Game Reserve you will find Jaci’s Tree Lodge. This vibrant and stylish lodge is set alongside the Marico River in a beautiful setting of lush trees and vegetation. Jaci’s promises an authentic, friendly and welcoming safari experience for eco-conscious guests.
The Tree Lodge showcases 8 luxurious tree houses perched on wooden stilts in the canopy, giving guests a magnificent tree-top safari experience. The Main Lodge area includes an open-plan kitchen, pool with deck, and outdoor hide, creating a romantic venue for couples or unique destination for those with older children.

Game drives, guided walks (adults only) and use of the gym and games room are complimentary at Jaci’s. Spa treatments can be arranged on request (additional charges apply).
The spacious open-plan main building includes an atmospheric bar and lounge area separate from the dining area by a 4 sided open fireplace.
The lodge has a cooling jungle pool close to the banks of the River.
Tree lodge has a hide set up at a waterhole, for those wanting to get closer to animals drinking during the heat of the day or to do some birding. Sleep outs can be arrange at the hide for 2 adults by prior arrangement.

Dining
The spacious dining area in the main lodge is where guests can eat their fill or savour high tea. Guests can also enjoy dinners around a fire under the African stars! Menus feature fresh, seasonal South African produce and meats. Meal schedules are flexible, typically tailored around your game drives.
Rooms
Made from African rosewood and thatch, each “tree house” blends seamlessly into the surrounding canopy. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, fans and heaters, to ensure your comfort throughout the year.
Each room has a large deck, king-sized bed (some twins also available), stone bath and both an indoor and outdoor shower from which you can enjoy the vista.
With no telephones or TV’s Jaci’s allows you to switch off completely and enjoy the wilderness. Guests are encouraged to use the communal areas for drinks and relaxation (although drinks can be ordered for your room and kettles are available on request).

Family
Please note there is generally a minimum age of 13 at Tree Lodge. One child can share with parents on a stretcher bed if this is appropriate for their height.
Sustainability
Jaci’s Lodges takes its commitment to sustainable tourism to heart. Aside from Jaci’s Staff Trust, which empowers staff with shareholding in the business, Jaci’s Lodges are involved in a number of conservation and eco-friendly community projects.
Also on offer are Conservation Safaris allowing guests to get involved with wildlife safeguarding, record, track and protection of wildlife.
Location
Madikwe Game Reserve is a mere 4-5 hours drive from Johannesburg and for those that wish to experience an exhilarating fly-in safari, the reserve has an excellent all-weather 1 500-metre gravel airstrip with return shuttle flights from Johannesburg International Airport (1 hour).
This Big 5 reserve is malarial free and offers you fantastic opportunities to view the rare and endangered Wild Dog, which is a mega “tick” on any game viewers list. There is also extensive plains game and over 340 species of birds to attract your attention.
