Facilities & Activities
Carved into the hillside, the Impodimo Game Lodge overlooks a natural spring and boasts spectacular views over lush surroundings. It’s clear that the main lodge itself has been designed with rest and relaxation in mind; there are lots of cosy places to sit and perhaps enjoy a drink with friends or a good book from the lodge’s library. There is an intimate lounge with comfy seating, relaxing sofas by the lodge fire, and a fantastic viewing sala which overlooks the waterhole. Or, you may prefer to lounge around the great swimming pool as long as you don’t mind sharing it with the local elephants who regularly stop by for a drink! The camp is unfenced so there is always the opportunity to spot animals in the bush.
Your dedicated professional ranger and tracker will take you on early morning game drives guiding you through the bush in a custom-made open Land Rover. Having trackers at Impodimo increases the quality and frequency of sightings since it means you have even more experience on hand and an extra pair of eyes to spot wildlife. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also try a bush walk with an armed ranger and immerse yourself in trees, birds and stunning scenery whilst learning the art of tracking African game.
During the heat of the day, you can return to your luxury accommodation and indulge yourself with an in-room massage treatment out on your private deck. As the day draws to a close, head out on a sundowner safari to discover the nocturnal creatures that live in the bush, whilst catching a dramatic sunset over this stunning reserve.

Family
Children are welcomed at Impodimo and the staff do everything they can to make sure that you and your family have an unforgettable safari experience. Kids love the fact that elephants are regular visitors to the lodge pool, and of course, they will enjoy having a swim in it too! Each child is given a personalised welcome pack filled with goodies and activities to keep them busy between safaris. There is also a great children’s area where they can watch TV and enjoy crafting activities.
Children over the age of six can join the game drives, and for those with younger children there is a “kiddies bumble” safari which is much shorter and tailored towards keeping their attention. Babysitters are available, so if you fancy going on safari or enjoying dinner alone, this can be arranged.
In terms of accommodation, there is the fantastic Deluxe Suite (Family Suite) with connecting rooms, which has its own private deck, en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, a central lounge, dining facility with its own kitchen, bar and a viewing deck overlooking the waterhole. There is also a private pool fitted with a safety net. The suite also comes with a private vehicle and ranger, so there are no age limits on game drives.
