Facilities & Activities
The hotel provides the perfect retreat from the bustling streets of central Marrakech. After a morning spent bargaining in the souks, or seeing the sights, relax and unwind next to one of the 2 marble swimming pools, take your book and tea up to the roof terrace, complete with its own plunge pool should you need to cool off.
The hotel has its own hammam if further pampering is in order, or book one of the hotel masseurs or beauty therapists to truly spoil yourself. If you are seeking to be more active, then the Riad has arrangements in place with nearby sports clubs for golf, horse riding and tennis.

Dining
A delicious breakfast of home-made yoghurt, local jams, fresh bread, fruit and juices, as well as eggs to order which can be served in your room if you’re looking to start the day with some pampering.
The Rooftop Bar and Restaurant is the perfect spot for a light lunch or watch the sun set over the Atlas with cocktail in hand. At night, dinner is a social affair as outside guests are also welcome. The menu for lunch and dinner focuses on locally inspired recipes and uses, wherever possible, fresh produce from the hotel vegetable garden, and local markets.
The Colonnade Café is a beautiful space where residents only can enjoy breakfast and lunch with the stunning backdrop of a courtyard filled with tumbling vines and the beautiful marble lined swimming pool. The café also hosts Moroccan themed nights from Wednesday to Sunday, serving authentic tangines and seasonal produce, do book in advance if you’re keen!
High-tea is a treat not to be missed with cakes and sweet pastries, accompanied by soothing mint tea, all included in your room rate.
Rooms
With various room categories, it will be hard to choose! All feature carefully curated artwork from the owner’s enviable private collection, hand-stitched Egyptian cotton linen and bathrobes, Wi-Fi and bedside mineral water, personal safe and hair dryer and air-conditioning/ heating.
Cosy Rooms still have space to feature king size beds and are decorated in Morrocan style with a twist. All have an open bathroom with bath and monsoon shower. The rooms in this part of the hotel are centred on an emerald-tiled courtyard with a splash pool and a sitting room with open fire
Small & Medium Rooms share the same facilities but are located in the original house and open onto the main courtyard or are located above the Spa. Medium Rooms also benefit from a small seating area and open fire.
Large Rooms include a substantial indoor or outdoor seating area plus open fire whilst Extra Large Rooms are sumptuously styled with art, design classics and everything from a 23 carat gold leafed headboard in one, to a freestanding silver roll top bath in another! All have a large lounge area, fire place and a separate large bathroom.
Last but not least the Extra Large Room with Terrace has it all: a huge master bedroom with a copper-clad fireplace and free standing bath plus a separate sitting room, a second seating area that can be made into a bedroom, a double shower room with sinks and a separate toilet. All this plus its own 30m² private terrace.

Family
Recommended for children aged 12years +, the older, main Riad is probably more suited to couples rather than families, although the hotel will happily provide extra beds if needed. There are plenty of options for connecting space as below.
The Two Bedroom Family Suites have a spacious master suite with open fire on the ground floor, free-standing roll top bath and double shower room. Upstairs is a second smaller bedroom with shower room and a private roof terrace.
The Three Bedroom House has a huge master bedroom with a freestanding silver bath, 2 smaller doubles and a lounge/dining area with an open fireplace as well as a private roof terrace with plunge pool. This would work perfectly for couples with older children.
Sustainability
Minimising their environmental impact in a country that faces challenges such as water scarcity is vital and El Fenn aims to operate as sustainably as possible:
- A water filtration system has been installed to eliminate single use plastic bottles and replace them with reusable glass.
- Bathroom products are made of local, natural ingredients and provided in large refillable containers.
- The kitchen works seasonally and thoughtfully to minimise food wastage and laundry is done on request rather than automatically every day.
Location
The hotel is just inside the Bab El Ksour meaning you don’t need to negotiate a maze of alleyways on arrival – the journey is only a 15/20 minute drive from the Airport, your taxi will drop you off, you literally turn the corner and you’ve arrived!
El Fenn is a 5-minute walk from Djemaa El Fna; the bars and restaurants of Gueliz, Hivernage and the Palmeraie are a short taxi ride away.
