Beautifully restored, this historic hotel, which occupies a landmark historic building, features high vaulted ceilings, 2 colonial courtyards, and the elegant Alma Restaurant.
There are original frescoes, reliefs, and even a chapel long hidden from view. The rooms are located around 2 courtyards, some in the original colonial manor house, and others across 4 floors of a sensitively designed modern wing of the hotel. The hotel is beautifully illuminated at night and is in the heart of Arequipa’s historic quarter, just around the corner from the Santa Catalina Monastery so perfectly sited for exploring this lovely colonial town on foot. Guests usually stay on a bed & breakfast basis and enjoy trying out some of the lovely local eateries.

The Alma Restaurant offers delicious combination of traditional Arequipa flavours with International contemporary cuisine. Open for buffet breakfast from 6-10:00 and then from midday for lunch through to 11pm.

There is no specific provision for children at the hotel, but they are warmly welcomed.
Sustainability
The hotel works with Peru Champs, this is a non-profit organisation that provides scholarships to children with high potential and low-income family. The hotel helps children in the form of donations from their guests, a $ 10 – $25 donation can contribute to one day of international quality education.
One example of their champs was Andrés Sillo , a young man with a lot of interest in cooking and service matters. The hotel supported his studies between 2014 and 2015 which meant that Andrés was part of a rigorous evaluation process to get a full scholarship in a renowned university. Because of his constant effort, good academic results and support from guest donations Andrés got the full scholarship to study at the university.
Location
Located in the historic heart of Arequipa, the hotel enjoys an enviable location with all the main sights, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Plaza de las Armas – the main square, is only 3 blocks away and the 16th Century Convento de Santa Catalina is just around the corner and well worth a visit.
Areuipa’s Rodríguez Ballón Airport, just 15-minutes away by car, is serviced by flights from Lima (90 minutes) and Cusco (60 mins).
