Facilities & Activities

Once you’ve got over the idyllic setting, high on top of soaring cliffs and nestled amongst fragrant, manicured gardens then there’s plenty to do here.

The huge infinity Moon pool (adult-only) hugs the cape and enjoys extraordinary views – the perfect position to watch the humpbacked whales in the distance. For families, the generously sized Cove Pool is the perfect setting, or relax in the sumptuous spa with treatments carefully made from organic home-grown spices.

Wander down the stone pathways that lead to the secluded coves below and enjoy fun on the water. The hotel can organise scuba diving trips, sunset cruises and the trade winds turn this part of the island into prime surfing paradise. Take one of the whale and dolphin watching tours or while away an afternoon exploring the stunning and secluded coves by kayak or stand up paddle board.

There are treats on land too with personalised tours to see the sights such as Mirissa’s colourful boat harbour, tea plantation tours or to rummage in the delightful boutiques of historic Galle.

Initiatives include a no plastic policy and measures to monitor and minimise energy wastage. Staff at the property also participate in volunteer ‘beach clean ups’ and community projects include the contribution of essential items to a cancer hospital in Weligama and the repainting of the local Railway Station.

Location

The resort is set in 12 manicured acres atop a peninsula in the laid-back coastal town of Cape Weligama, approx. a 3-hour drive from the International Airport.
