Belmar Hotel

Hotel Belmar is nestled in Costa Rica’s lush cloud forest, in the mountaintops of the Monteverde Reserve.

It’s all about immersing yourself in nature here. Two thirds of the hotel’s beautiful 9-acre grounds are composed of pristine cloud forest, home to many endangered species. Guests can soak up the beautiful natural surroundings whilst enjoying the elegance and warm friendly service for which this family-owned hotel is renowned.

Facilities & Activities

Families will appreciate the many experiences on offer that are sure to fascinate younger guests. Perhaps a farm tour appeals – milking cows, watching the cheese-making, picking coffee beans or straining sugar cane for a sweet post-hike drink. Children will love meeting the farm animals and then what better way to round things off than a horse-riding excursion. Suitable for all skill levels, a bi-lingual guide will lead you through the farm, over small streams and through the beautiful countryside.

The hotel also offers guided hikes – from a 3.5 hour hike through the cloud-forest with an expert naturalist guide, to a night nature hike and a hike especially aimed at bird-watchers.

For anyone looking to brush up their dinner party skills, the ‘Garden to Glass’ cocktail class is a great one – enjoy crafting signature cocktails and return home with some nifty mixology skills.

Please note that there is no pool at the hotel.
