Anantara Hua Hin Resort

For those seeking a coastal resort without having to take an internal flight from Bangkok, the town of Hua Hin, favoured by Thai Royalty for over 100 years, is easily reached by road from Bangkok.

Whilst the beach may not compare with those on the island resorts, the lush tropical, lotus-filled gardens and large free-form pool at this contemporary Thai resort make for a very relaxing stay, whilst the vibrant night markets and plethora of local restaurants offer will appeal to those seeking some down time without feeling remote.

Facilities & Activities

Set in the lush gardens, the large free-form pool with swim up bar is the focal point of the resort. Complimentary water and sun tan lotion alongside little treats such as melon on sticks are offered, making it hard to leave. However, adjacent you can also find table tennis and badminton if you can be roused from your sun-lounger.
Guests staying in a Suite also have access to the Lagoon Club, offering a private pool, overlooking a large pond resplendent with lotus flowers.
The Fitness Centre is open 24 hours a day, offering free weights and a variety of machines or alternatively why not get fit learning Muay Thai boxing! The two tennis courts are also floodlit, allowing for play in the cooler evenings. If Yoga is your activity of choice, you can enjoy a sunrise session on the beach or in the stunning gardens. For golf enthusiasts, there are four clubs within a 30 minutes’ drive, including the renowned Black Mountain Golf Club, which has hosted many major Asian Tournaments.
The calming Spa showcases traditional Thai treatments with impressive suites featuring al fresco showers and open-air tubs. For an informal spot of relaxation, you can also enjoy a massage on the beach accompanied by a cooling sea breeze.
Please note that whilst the resort is oceanfront, for a full beach, you will need to journey up the coast. You can paddle through the warm water to a sand spit during low tide, but there are not the range of watersports facilities that you would find at some other beach resorts. Kayaks can be taken out when the sea is calm and the area is known for kite-surfing.
