We can book all your travel arrangements, including international and domestic flights, car hire and transfers. However, our flexible approach means you are also welcome to book accommodation or ground arrangements only whilst you make your own travel arrangements.
We would suggest where possible that you take a direct, preferably overnight, flight, especially when travelling with children, to minimise flight and maximise sleep time! However, you can sometimes make a saving by opting for an airline that flies via their hub in Europe or the Middle East, even take this opportunity for a stop over.
For further information about airlines which fly direct to our destinations and what facilities they provide for couples and families, please see our International Travel pages.
Domestic flights are affordable and frequent, especially within South Africa. However, we appreciate that if you are travelling with children the process of flying isn’t simple and will therefore endeavour to keep these to a minimum when constructing your itinerary.
If you are considering visiting both the North West in combination with Cape Town in South Africa, a good option is to purchase an Open-Jaw international ticket, enabling you to fly in to one City and back from another. This can also be done to include Mauritius as part of a triangular route and single tickets with airlines can also be bought at certain times of year if you wish to combine Africa and The Seychelles.
We would suggest that, in addition to any necessary domestic flights, a combination of car hire and private transfers provide the best way to travel within South Africa. If you book car hire with us for South Africa, we will also supply an informative document outlining useful do’s and don’t relating to driving here. We recommend transfers to your hotel on arrival and if you are travelling to some of the remoter Game Reserve areas.
Private transfers, shuttle and helicopter flights and car hire can also be arranged throughout our other destinations. Hire cars can also be arranged locally with our representatives should you wish to explore independently.
Please see our Internal Travel pages for further information, including details about train and coach journeys, in case this mode of transport should also be of interest.
