- Pool: Infinity pool surrounded by spacious relaxation beds.
- Watersports: Snorkelling, sailing, water skiing and windsurfing. Scuba diving and deep sea fishing can be arranged for an additional charge.
- Land based Sports: Floodlit tennis court.
- Fitness Centre: Spacious Sports Centre featuring separate cardio and muscular areas.
- Maradiva Spa: The Spa offers western and signature Indian treatments (for a charge) including Ayurvedic applications. All the treatment rooms are opened to a relaxed private garden. The spa also has a hydrotherapy cascade pool with a relaxation area, a chill pool, a hammam, a sanarium and a laconium, yoga and meditation pavilion and a beauty salon. In addition to natural Ayurvedic therapies, the Spa offers complimentary consultations with an Ayurveda specialised Doctor who dispenses personalised body treatments that range from deep muscular massages and relaxation aromatherapy to detoxification cleansing wraps.
Bars & Restaurants
- Coast2Coast serves Mediterranean, Mauritian and International cuisines in a comfortable setting. High ceilings, shingle roof and an open terrace provide the ideal backdrop for a relaxed dining experience. Breakfast is “a la carte” and lunch and dinner features daily chef’s special menus.
- Cilantro is the specialty restaurant open for “a la carte” dinner, featuring the finest in Pan-Asian and Regional Indian cuisine. Cilantro offers also an interactive live cooking Teppanyaki counter for a more convivial ambience, a lounge area for pre-dinner and after dinner drinks. Dining can be inside or under the stars.
- Breakers Bar The Lounge exudes a contemporary yet intimate atmosphere and serves light meals and a wide selection of international wines and spirits and has a live entertainment every night. Beach and pool menus are also available throughout the day.
- A Beach Service also operates including snacks and drinks.
Overview
Families will appreciate the great space the Resort provides, right on an excellent beach. Younger guests can also enjoy the facilities of the Peter Pan’ Mini Club.

Rooms types
All 65 air-conditioned villas feature a private pool with a living and dining area, butler service, flat-screen television with DVD/CD system in villa, IPod docking stations, internet connectivity, personal bar, expresso machine, tea & coffee, cordless telephone, wave radio with CD player, day bed, ceiling fans, work desk, full walk-in wardrobe and the exhilarating experience of an open-air garden shower in a patio.
Luxury / Beachfront Suite Villas with private pool (163 square metres) are ground floor sea-facing, arranged in a horseshoe shape.
Exclusive Suite Villas (220 square metres but can interconnect with a Beachfront Suite Villa for additional space) are located on the beach front and benefit from a separate living room and larger terrace and pool.
2 Presidential Suite Villas (345 square metres) take pride of place at the centre of the resort’s crescent shaped beach. A spacious central living room opens on to private deck and infinity pool whilst 2 en-suite bedrooms also benefit from the stunning Ocean views.
Family
- Up to one child under 18 in an additional bed and child in a cot can share a Luxury / Beachfront Suite Villa. Interconnecting Villas of these types are also available.
- Up to 2 children can be accommodated with parents in an Exclusive Suite Villa.
- The Presidential Suites can accommodate a maximum of 6.

Employment and Training from the local community
Last year we worked on the rehabilitation projects of four inmates from Terre de Paix (A non Governmental organization fighting against poverty, malnutrition, child abuse & neglect). They were taken on board at the Taj exotica Resort & Spa as Trainees (2 in the kitchen department and 2 in the engineering department) for a period of one year. This year we took 2 more inmates as trainees and they will complete their training in April next year.
On a yearly basis we take trainees from the hotel school of Mauritius and other institutions.
Other community initiatives projects:

- Donation of books and clothes to charities
- Cleaning campaign in collaboration with the local authorities
Environment:
- All waste water is recycled and used for irrigation
- All plastic containers & bottles are collected and sent to a company specialising in the recycling of plastic materials.
